How do I choose the right wig size?
Most of our wigs come in a standard size that fits the majority of head sizes, with adjustable straps inside for a secure fit. All wigs, whether open or closed cap construction, have a degree of stretchability for a perfect fit. If you're unsure, measure around your head just above your ears and across your forehead — the average head circumference is 21.5–22.5 inches. What is HD lace?
HD (High Definition) lace is an ultra-thin, transparent lace that melts seamlessly into all skin tones, creating an undetectable hairline. It gives the most natural-looking finish of any lace type.
Are your wigs heat resistant?
Yes! All of our wigs are heat resistant and can be styled using heat tools up to a maximum of 180 degrees. We recommend always starting on a lower heat setting to keep your wig looking its best for longer.
Do your wigs contain permatease?
No — none of our wigs contain permatease. Permatease is a technique used in some wig manufacturing where the hair fibres are deliberately backcombed and matted at the root to add volume and lift. While it can create a fuller look, permatease is permanent and cannot be brushed out — meaning the roots will always feel slightly tangled or rough to the touch. We believe in wigs that feel as good as they look, so all of our wigs are permatease-free for a smoother, more natural feel from root to tip.
How do I care for my wig?
We recommend using a wide-tooth comb or wig brush, starting from the ends and working upward. Use wig-specific shampoo and conditioner, and allow to air dry on a wig stand. Avoid sleeping or showering in your wig.
How long does delivery take?
We aim to dispatch all orders within 1-2 working days. Delivery times will depend on your chosen shipping method at checkout.
What is your returns policy?
As a wig wearer myself, I know how important it is for the wig to be right for you. That's why we want you to feel confident when shopping with us.
14-Day Return Window
You have 14 days from the date of delivery to request a return.
Condition Requirements
You are welcome to try the wig on, but to be eligible for a return it must be in the same perfect condition as received — unworn beyond trying on, with no signs of wear, styling or damage, the security tag intact and unbroken, the lace uncut and unaltered, and all original packaging and any free gifts included.
How to Request a Return
Please contact us at contact@wigsinthewardrobe.co.uk before sending anything back, and include a photograph or video showing the condition of the wig. Returns will not be accepted without prior approval.
Return Postage
We offer free return postage once your return has been approved.
Refunds
Approved refunds will be issued as store credit or to your original payment method — your choice. Please allow up to 5 working days once your return has been received and inspected.

Do I have to cut the lace front myself?
Not at all! We know that cutting lace can feel daunting, especially if you're new to lace front wigs. If you'd prefer, we are happy to cut the lace front for you before dispatch — just get in touch at contact@wigsinthewardrobe.co.uk after placing your order and we'll take care of it.
Please be aware that if you request the lace to be cut, or if you cut it yourself, the wig becomes non-returnable. We recommend trying the wig on first with the lace uncut before making that decision.
